- Written Response to a letter
This was an interesting case. We received a phone call from our client who seemed to be very shaken up by some strange activity that had been taking place in his grandmother’s apartment. He also informed us that his mother was very uncomfortable with the activity as well. The client wanted us to investigate the activity they were experiencing in hopes to get to the bottom of things. First we went to meet with the client and his family to conduct an interview and get a better idea of what we were dealing with. They informed us that they felt whatever is there was trying to communicate with them. There was a situation where the client and his friend from Italy wrote a letter in Italian to see what the entity wanted, and left the house.
To their surprise, when they returned, there was a hand written response in English. It was about a paragraph long and had some useful info regarding the name of the entity, how long it’s been since the time of death and a request for help. The client and his friend replied on the letter stating that they can not help, and to stop bothering them. There was also an incident where the letter “A” was written in the fog on the bathroom mirror while the client was in the shower. The letter “A” is significant because the client’s first initial is the letter “A”. The apartment was located in a relatively new apartment complex. The client told us that it was built on the former site of a plastic factory that was the site of a large fire at one point in history. We were able to confirm that there was a plastic factory in the vicinity of where the apartments were built, and that there was a fire there in 1990’s. However this didn’t match up with the information written in the letter which stated that the entity had died 80 years ago.
We were unable to come up with any information to support that in our research. When we came back to investigate, we used all the info we learned from the client as well as our historical research of the property. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to confirm any of the claims of activity. However while addressing the clients claims, we were able to find a possible explanation for the window shades moving. There is a ventilation duct in the ceiling right in front of the window that blows air directly on the window. The only unexplainable event we caught was on the camera in the bedroom. When no one was in the room, there was the sound of a faint breathy sigh. At the same time the battery in the IR illuminator appeared to die rapidly resulting in the illuminator completely shutting off. Overall we were unable to collect enough solid evidence from this location to support the claims of paranormal activity.
