Noble Maritime Collection
Noble Maritime Collection
March, 2009 & September 2009
In March of 2009, NJPRO was fortunate enough to be the first paranormal team to ever investigate the building that houses the Noble Maritime Collection in Snug Harbor. In September of 2009, we made a return trip as a follow up. NJPRO is still the only team to have ever conducted an investigation at the museum.
The Noble Maritime Collection is one of the original buildings of “Snug Harbor”. It was part of a community set up in the 1800′s by Robert Richard Randall for retired sailors after their lives on the sea. The building was originally used as a dormitory for many of the sailors who once lived there. It currently houses the “Noble Maritime Collection”. These historic halls are now dedicated to the men who lived and died there, as well as the maritime art of John Noble. However, The people who work here feel that the historic artifacts and art may not be the only things that occupy this space.
NOTE: The loud banging in the background are the old steam pipes that provide heat to the building. They are in no way a result of paranormal activity.
Evidence
1. Live Audio- In this clip you will hear what sounds like a male voice singing (Best heard through headphones)
2. Live Audio (EVP)- In this clip you will hear what sounds like someone whistling along with the song. The music you are hearing is that of old sea shanties that sailors of the era used to sing while working on the ships. During this clip there was no one in the building. We let our equipment run unattended for about an hour with only the shanties playing in hopes of drawing something out.
3. Live Audio (EVP)- In this clip you will hear Tony coming up the stairs past the microphone. You will also hear a very loud whistle that sounds like it echos through the whole building , however no one heard until reviewing the audio.
4. Live Audio (EVP)- Another occurrence of whistling. Once again not heard by anyone there. (Best heard through headphones)
5. Voice Recorder (EVP)- In this clip you will hear more whistling, However this time it sounds very close.  Andy Christine and Greg were trying to track down the source of a very abrupt sound that came from one of the floors above home base. The sound was not heard by either of the 3 team members in the area.
6. Photo (Partial Apparition)- The following photo was captured in the third floor hallway. This picture was taken around the same time as the audio above  (#3). It also supports personal experiences that were taking place at the same time the photo was snapped, that were not captured by our equipment. The anomaly is in the center right of the frame. There is an unexplained shadow protruding from the right of the glass case in the center of the hallway. On a return visit to this location, we were unable to successfully recreate this shot.
Here is a closer view.
